Physical Therapy through Telehealth

What is telehealth?

Teleheath is a virtual one-on-one physical therapy visit in the comfort of your own home, in addition to or instead of in-office visits.

Who can benefit from a telehealth visit?

Anyone in need of physical therapy, whether you're a new, existing, or former patient.

What device can I use?

A desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone: whatever you're most comfortable with!

What if I don't have access to any of these?

We can set up a phone call, in that case.

What platforms can I use?

Doxy.me is preferred, but others—such as FaceTime—are also options.

What should I expect?

The treatment plan established by you and your therapist may involve assessments in range of motion and function, strength training, a personalized home-exercise program, postural education, lymphedema education, and surgical/treatment guidelines and education. Your therapist can also answer any questions you have.

Does my insurance cover this type of visit?

Some insurance plans cover this type of visit. Some cover copays as well. Each is different. Before your initial visit, our office will check with your insurance carrier and discuss coverage with you.

Can teleheath and in-office visits be combined?

Yes! This is called a hybrid model and is an excellent option.
